Riesling from grapes from yellow sandstone.
The two family‘s favorite vineyard sites: Mandeler
Dellchen (red sandstone) and Mandeler Schloss Berg (yellow sandstone). Both are
south-facing steep slopes on the same hill, changing soil types and character within only a few hundred meters. The part from red sandstone shows a rather mineral character, the one from yellow sandstone is really fruit-driven.
Together they are a real Nahe Riesling: Elegant and focused.
