They don’t get much better than this when it comes to PET NAT

While today many winemakers are having a go at making a Pet Nat. Mathias Meierer has been giving it a crack for a while now and we would say he has definitely perfected the prefect Pet Nat with his OMG cracker. Like all quality sparkling wines and Meierer’s wines in general he is not one to rush the process. While we begged to get this for a while and we think it tastes pretty tops now…Meierer believes it will still get better over the next weeks / Months.

Made from ripe Riesling grown on slate slopes.  The "OMG" shows an interesting yeasty and flowery nose of jasmine flowers with some tropical, passion fruit,  citrus and a hint of slate in the background. On the palate, it is wonderfully lively and refreshingly fresh with a great yeasty aroma that is reminiscent of a champagne.  Be quick with this one before we at Cracking Wines drink it all!
